主要从事畜产品质量安全及畜产品中污染物监测、风险评价及安全保障技术研究。

在Nature Microbiology、Environmental Science & Technology等国际高水平刊物上发表学术论文120余篇,SCI单篇被引400余次。主持获得江苏科学技术二等奖1项,参与获得省部二等奖2项、三等奖2项。申报PCT专利与国家发明专利43项,获得授权37项。主译《噬菌体治疗:当前的研究与应用》、副主编《噬菌体学 从理论到实践》
兼任国际噬菌体研究中心(IPRC)主任、中国噬菌体学组副组长;在国内创建首个噬菌体学术组织,牵头主办四次国际噬菌体研讨会;获全国巾帼建功标兵、江苏省有突出贡献中青年专家、江苏省“十大青年科技之星”、优秀留学回国人员等荣誉。
